Introduction of the fartet and samaruc species

A 4,200 m2 lagoon will be created, and populated with the fartet (Aphanius iberus) and samaruc (Valencia hispanica) fish species. This line of action aims to contribute to the conservation of these two native fish species, whose regression was brought about mainly by the destruction of their habitat.

Campaign of Environmental Education

In order to involve citizens and communicate the necessity to carry out these regeneration works, the Project includes a vigorous diffusion and environmental education campaign. More information on this subject is available in the corresponding section of this web site.

Development of a GIS

The Geographic Information Systems (GIS) constitute computer tools able to handle great amount of geographic and environmental data, thus facilitating the development of work strategies. The execution of the GIS aims to:

1- Locate with precision the wild maritime junipers planted during the execution of project.

2- Allow precise information on the evolution of the present population of maritime juniper in la Devesa de L’Albufera to be gathered.
