PERIMETER FENCING OF DUNES.

Summer has begun and crowds of people go to the beaches, la Devesa being among the favourites. This means the dunes are being continuously trampled upon by people who do not respect the access trails. For this reason, the dunes are fenced in starting from the Gola de Puchol up to the area 100 meters beyond the carparks. The fence is being repaired using canes in the areas where it has fallen down due to the aforementioned problem.  

NURSERY PRODUCTION.

The first step before the production of plants is the preparation of seedbeds. In our case, our seedbeds were sowed with Ammophila arenaria Elymus farctus. The seedbeds were prepared in trays, as follows:

1º A previously humidified peat bed is placed in the tray.
2º Sand is added to the mixed peat.
3º Watering or dampening takes place.
4º Sowing is carried out, either making a bed with the seeds or in furrows.
5º A layer of sand is used to cover.
6º Watering is repeated.

We now only have to wait until an optimal level of germination is obtained.
